CCF accepts a $5,000 grant from The Rotary Club of Coronado

On Wednesday, June 3, the Coronado Community Foundation Board of Directors accepted a "big" check and donation at the Rotary Club of Coronado meeting. Members and guests heard an update on the partnership between CCF and ElderHelp of San Diego, which has provided more than 118 rides since its launch in November 2025, serving 89 seniors, supported by 22 active volunteer drivers.The grant funding request under the Neighbors in Need initiative, serving Coronado’s seniors was initially submitted in January 2026, and through Rotary Board review, was approved at the May meeting. This grant funding will directly help expand the free transportation program, promote volunteer recruitment, help launch non-driving volunteer opportunities, and provide meaningful community connections for Coronado’s seniors.
