What a wonderful day of community, connection, and celebration! Hosted by the City of Coronado and the John D. Spreckels Center on October 6, the Coronado Community Foundation, alongside our incredible community partners, welcomed over 100 attendees to Senior Social Coronado: A Day to Celebrate Coronado Seniors! The event kicked off with Mayor John Duncan presenting a proclamation declaring October 6, 2026, Coronado Senior Day!

The afternoon was filled with laughter, music, and activities that brought our community together. Guests enjoyed a lively performance by the Ukulele Club, bingo, chair yoga, lawn bowling, and lei making. Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in blood pressure screenings, bone density scans, and color and mood activities while exploring helpful resources on technology, cybersecurity, senior services, and transportation.

The celebration didn't end there! Following the event, the Coronado Community Foundation treated seniors to a free screening of The Intern at the Coronado Village Theater, complete with a special $5 popcorn and drink combo. A big thank you to Julie Bravo and the Coronado Village Theater for their generosity and support in making this day special.

We are incredibly grateful to our wonderful community partners- the City of Coronado, Safe Harbor Coronado, Sharp Coronado Hospital, and the Coronado Senior Association- for coming together to make this event possible.

Thank you for helping to make this a memorable day honoring the seniors who make Coronado such a wonderful community!
