Fueling the Arts in Coronado: Inside CCF’s Fall Grants

This past fall, we proudly distributed just over $42,000 in Arts and Culture Grants. With grant submissions supporting local music, performing arts, and arts education, as well as beloved cultural events, our CCF Board of Directors unanimously approved 8 nonprofit grants. Through these grants, CCF supported a wide range of programs and initiatives that bring arts and culture to life across Coronado:

• Coronado Community Band hosted a special Veterans Day concert, honoring those who have served while bringing the community together through music.

• Coronado Historical Association is creating a commemorative mural in celebration of the United States’ 250th birthday, preserving history while adding a meaningful visual landmark for the community.

• Coronado Schools Foundation funded four new ceramic wheels for the high school, expanding opportunities for hands-on learning and creative expression in the classroom.

• Coronado Floral Association held their first "Events in the Tents" at the 104th Coronado Flower Show, a long-standing tradition that brings residents together through floral arts and shared experiences.

• Coronado Philharmonia Orchestra presented “Holiday Harmony: A Coronado Philharmonia Salute to Service,”a performance honoring service members through music during the holiday season.

• Camp Able Coronado is launching a Pop-up Art Studio and Creative Guest Program, providing inclusive, hands-on artistic experiences for participants of all abilities this summer

• Lamb’s Players Theatre invested in new headsets, enhancing accessibility and audience experience so more community members can fully enjoy live theatre.

Our community is healthier, brighter, and more vibrant because of the support of the community and the hard work and commitment of our Coronado nonprofits.
