On June 21, the Coronado Community Foundation (CCF) was proud to co-sponsor Concert in the Park alongside FOCUS, supporting one of Coronado’s favorite summer traditions.

This week’s concert featured Coronado’s own Matt Heinecke and his band, Crown Town. A Coronado High School graduate, Matt has been performing locally since his freshman year and now serves as the Band Director for Coronado Unified School District. It was especially meaningful to help sponsor an evening showcasing a local musician who continues to give back to the Coronado community.

Throughout the evening, we loved welcoming friends, neighbors, community members, and donors to the CCF sponsor tent. Events like Concert in the Park are a great reminder of what makes Coronado special—bringing people together, supporting local talent, and creating opportunities for community connection.

Coronado Promenade Concerts (CPC) produces and manages the Spreckels Park summer concert series, which has been a beloved Coronado tradition for more than four decades. CCF was grateful for the opportunity to support this year’s series and be part of an evening

that brought our community together.
