This past fall, we proudly distributed just over $42,000 in Arts and Culture Grants. With grant submissions supporting local music, performing arts, and arts education, as well as beloved cultural events, our CCF Board of Directors unanimously approved 7 nonprofit grants. Through these grants, CCF supported a wide range of programs and initiatives that bring arts and culture to life across Coronado, including the Coronado Community Band, which held a concert on Veterans Day, November 11, 2025.
The following insights were provided by Phil Imming, President of the Coronado Community Band.
"The Coronado Community Band held a concert on Veterans Day in Granzer Hall and was joined by the Crown City Chorale and Musica Vitale, and it was a big success! The program included a Parading of the Colors by four members of the Coronado High School NJROTC unit, all of whom are also members of the Coronado Concert Band. There were two local veterans who shared their personal stories.
Approximately 250 community members attended the event, creating a wonderful mix of families, seniors, veterans, and active-duty service members. Including the band and choir participants, total attendance exceeded 320 people. The atmosphere was truly inspiring, with the event providing a meaningful opportunity to honor those who have served our country. The band delivered an outstanding performance, and the audience was highly engaged throughout the patriotic music and historical narration. We received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback, with many attendees sharing how the event fostered a strong sense of community while bringing people together in support of a meaningful cause."
